Hurricane Matthew ReliefIn the wake of Hurricane Matthew, thousands of our neighbors are without food, water, and basic supplies. (If you need help, find a Disaster Ready Agency near you from this list.) The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is assessing immediate needs across our service area. Right now we know there are thousands still without power throughout our 34 counties, and numerous others are dealing with effects of flooding or preparing for flooding in the next few days.

During the relief and recovery from a natural disaster, the need for emergency food increases, as displaced families seek precious resources. The Food Bank is poised to deliver life-sustaining food, water, and non-food essentials to the thousands impacted by this storm. Donations of food and funds allow the Food Bank to provide the emergency assistance needed by our partner agencies.

If you are able, here’s how you can support FBCENC in our disaster efforts:

Donate Funds:
Donate online at foodbankcenc.org/matthew. As always with the Food Bank, 97 cents from every $1 goes directly towards programs that serve our neighbors in need.
