On September 30, our central distribution center in Raleigh welcomed over 150 Blue Cross Blue Shield volunteers to sort and pack food kits headed out to our network of local pantries and delivery programs. In a single shift, BCBS volunteers assembled enough kits to fuel more than 41,000 meals for local families!  

Fidelity has provided more than 3.2 million meals as a part of their commitment to nourish our communities, and we couldn’t do this work without their generous support.

“It’s hard to believe that people could survive on so little,” Chris said after looking at the qualifications for the CSFP Program. “Unfortunately, it is all too real.” Nearly 50,000 seniors in our 34-county service area live at or below the poverty level.

One year ago we opened a new Durham Branch facility on Angier Avenue to better serve the Bull City and surrounding counties.
