Join us at the Pinehurst Fair Barn for an evening out to support efforts to end hunger in Lee, Moore, Richmond, and Scotland counties
Plans are set for a night of live music and dancing at ”Rock’n in the Pines” — the region’s signature event supporting local kids, seniors, and families facing hunger. The evening will feature live music, dancing, and great food and beverages, with all proceeds benefitting the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina at Sandhills.

Dress comfortably for a fun-filled evening!
The event, with the support of presenting sponsor Food Lion, will feature local music and cuisine. Enjoy a grazing table with fresh ingredients from The Debonair Chef; signature cocktails crafted by The Gentleman Mobile Bar; and live music by The Main Event Band.
Hosted at the Pinehurst Fair Barn, this year’s “Rock’n in the Pines” offers a fun and casual atmosphere where guests can enjoy an evening out while learning how their support can build a future where we end hunger in the Sandhills. All proceeds remain in the area, supporting the Food Bank’s local network of more than 80 no-cost markets, food pantries, meal sites, and delivery programs.
“We have an incredible group of supporters and advocates in the Sandhills area who work hard to make sure every family has the resources needed to thrive in their communities. Rock’n in the Pines is an exciting opportunity to bring our community together and move even closer to a future where no one goes hungry.”
– Teresa Kelly, Director of Regional Development at Sandhills
Over the past year, the Food Bank at Sandhills provided more than 7 million meals for local families as food insecurity soars in the region. More than 38,000 individuals struggle to consistently put food on the table across Lee, Moore, Richmond, and Scotland counties — that’s 1 out of every 6 people in the Sandhills facing food insecurity.
With a big boost from Food Lion and Harris Teeter, the community-driven “Rock’n in the Pines,” event seeks to generate ongoing support to turn the tide, support neighbors in the area, and move closer to a future where no one goes hungry. A longtime Food Bank partner, Food Lion Feeds recently donated its 1.5 billionth meal to local hunger relief organizations — with a commitment to reach a billion more by 2032.
“We’re proud to be a long-term partner of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina — and to support our shared mission of feeding our neighbors who are experiencing hunger. Nourishing our neighbors is core to everything we do at Food Lion. We believe no one should have to choose between dinner and rent or gas and groceries. And in a time when so many families face food insecurity, we are grateful to join forces with the food bank to provide fresh, nutritious food to our community.”
– Ed Oxendine, Food Lion’s Director of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic Division in the Sanford region
