Investing in Your Community
A gift to the Food Bank supports our work in numerous ways:
-Neighbors in need receive healthy food and other resources – the Food Bank can turn your dollar into 5 meals for our neighbors through donated or low-cost food from local or regional growers, food producers, and retailers.
-Our Community Impact team can continue offering wrap-around supports such as nutrition education, healthy recipes, support for medically-tailored meals (i.e. suitable for patients with diabetes, hypertension, etc.), and eligibility information and application assistance for various benefits.
-Our program staff can expand our root causes work through special outreach to communities disproportionately affected by food insecurity (our BIPOC neighbors, veterans, rural communities, etc.)
An investment in the Food Bank impacts hunger relief efforts across central and eastern North Carolina, supporting our network of more than 600 local food pantries, congregate meal sites, group homes or shelters, child and adult care facilities, etc.
