Supporting Neighbors During Pop-Up Market Transitions

At the Food Bank, we're committed to building a sustainable future where neighbors can easily connect with local resources — no matter where we live. This means several Pop-Up Markets will wind down as we work to expand access to fresh produce and pantry staples through local pantries, no-cost markets, meal sites, and delivery programs. Each site will have a 'Community Connect' event to ensure all shoppers know where and how to access long-term resources:

• Monday, March 2nd: Halifax County Center

• Thursday, March 5th: Hopkins Chapel, Zebulon

• Thursday, March 24th: St. Augustine's University

•  Friday, April 3rd: Warrenton

•  Monday, April 6th: Cerro Gordo Baptist Church

•  Monday, June 8th: First Baptist Church 

•  Tuesday, June 9th: Bennett Baptist Church

•  Thursday, June 18th: CCCC Center for Workforce Innovation

There are no residency, income, or ID requirements to participate — and neighbors are free to shop for whatever items they may need.

  • Can I send someone else to pick up on my behalf?

    Yes! Our food distributions are available to everyone who needs support — no questions asked. But if you feel uncomfortable or are unable to come in person for any reason, we're happy to send your regular box with a trusted friend, neighbor, or loved one.

    If you need additional support, our network of pantries and meal sites is open to all. Just type in your zip code on our FoodFinder app to view nearby options.
