Together, we can help end hunger in our community.

Right now, one in five people in central and eastern North Carolina don’t have enough to eat. There are many ways you can help provide food and hope to families, children, and seniors right here in our community.

Donate Funds

There are a host of ways to make a difference right now in the fight to end hunger. If you’re able, please take a minute to lend your  your financial support as we write the Food Bank’s next chapter together.

Individual Giving

Right now, one in five people in central and eastern North Carolina don’t have enough to eat. Your tax-deductible gift helps provide food and hope to families, children, and seniors right here in our community. Together, we can help people in our community during their greatest time of need. Every $10 you donate provides 50 meals!

Corporate & Community Giving

Support from businesses, foundations, and community-based organizations is vital to our vision for a future where no one goes hungry. Your investment can be designated to the focus area of your choice and may entitle your organization to recognition opportunities, unique volunteer experiences, and other special benefits.

Donate Food

The Food Bank gladly accepts donations of food, large and small, to distribute into the community through our network of partner agencies.

Food Drives & Individuals

We welcome community donations of factory-sealed non-perishable products and beverages, refrigerated or frozen items and produce, and non-food essentials such as hygiene items, cleaning items, or paper products. Learn everything you need to know (including locations, business hours, and most needed items) to host a food drive or donate individually.

Food Industry Donations

Thanks to longtime agriculture and food industry paratnerships, we're able provide a variety of nutritious, high-demand items to local families year-round. Our facilities are equipped to receive and process donations at any scale. And we work with hundreds of growers, producers, manufacturers, retailers, and more to support families facing hunger and reduce food waste along the way. If you're in the food industry and have surplus or "unsellable" product on hand, we want to hear from you!

Amplify Your Impact as a Community

Working with our incredible partners at PORCH Communities, neighbors can come together for a monthly collection of nonperishable goods that support nearby pantries and no-cost markets. It's as easy as choosing a date for your neighborhood to set out donations for collection!

Host a Virtual Food Drive

Want to make an immediate difference? Online drives with friends and colleagues help us purchase the exact products local pantries and meal sites need. Every $1 raised provides 5 meals for families in our area!

Donate Time

Did you know that a single person will sort and pack enough food in a volunteer shift to fuel more than 160 meals for local families?

Volunteer at The Food Bank

From sorting food in our warehouses, to distributing resources in the community, to advocating for stronger safety nets, volunteers are the heart and soul of our work at the Food Bank. Whether you’re an individual supporter or represent a large group, there are a host of opportunities to help bring us closer to a future where no one goes hungry — no matter where we live, where we’re from, or the color of our skin.
