Challenges & Impact

More than 29,000 people in Pitt County don't know where their next meal might come from. That's nearly 3,000 more people facing hunger than the prior year. More families are seeking food assistance in our area today than at any point in the past 15+ years.

Unfortunately, we expect these challenges to grow wider and deeper as government cuts to food and healthcare support impact more children, seniors, and working adults.

Resources & Resilience

From our central hub in Greenville, the Food Bank supports an incredible network of pantries, no-cost markets, meal sites, and delivery programs working to meet this crisis head on. Everyone is welcome — no matter where we live, where we're from, or the color of our skin. So whether you need support or you'd like to get involved, know that our network is here for you. We can’t do this work alone

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our work at the Food Bank. From sorting food in our warehouses, to distributing resources in the community, to advocating for stronger safety nets.
