For families facing food insecurity, summer has long marked a time when kids no longer have easy access to breakfast and lunch at school. Many parents and caregivers have to come up with 10 or more additional meals per week, per child when school is out — making the summer months among the most challenging times of year to keep food on the table. That's why we're so excited to again partner with WCTI News Channel 12 and local Food Lion stores for the annual 'Feeding ENC' Drive! And though we've wrapped the in-person food drive this year, you can still make a difference online to help stop summer hunger in our community. All donations are matched 2x through July 31!
