Resources & Support for Our East Durham Neighbors
We're excited about our expanded capacity to connect neighbors with resources as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The 64,000-square-foot facility in Venture Park has nearly double the capacity of our former location, including dedicated space for community meetings, trainings, and volunteer sorting and repack efforts. The new Food Bank will also significantly improve access to fresh, locally-grown food for partners across Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person, and Vance counties. This means more food can be distributed to the communities that need it the most — including our neighbors in East Durham.
Unfortunately, this expansion also brings our decade-long chapter to a close in Old East Durham — and we're already missing the community's incredible warmth.
While we're sad to say goodbye to our Angier Avenue location, we're proud of the robust network of pantries and meal sites that serve the Durham community, including several organizations in neighborhoods around our former facility. We’re working to provide additional food and funding support for these partners to help meet any increase in demand.

Access free school lunch, summer meals, and nutrition support for kids and teens.
Receive food boxes and nutrition support for older adults.
Our mobile distributions bring fresh food to communities with fewer resources.
Each of these programs is designed to reduce barriers and make it easier for neighbors to access the food they need.
