Host a Food & Fund Drive
Virtual Food Drive
Forget the hassle of a trip to the grocery store for your next food drive… create a food drive without the heavy lifting using our Virtual Food Drive, and maximize your donation times five! For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can provide FIVE meals!
You can make a difference in your community by hosting a Virtual Food Drive for your friends, family members, or coworkers.
You are welcome to collect your donations in any type of box or container. The Food Bank can provide up to 6 donation boxes per food drive. Supplies can be picked up at any of our 6 branches during normal business hours. Each donation box holds approximately 100 items.
How will you transport your donations to the Food Bank?
Because of our limited resources and tight trucking schedule, we ask that you make every effort to drop off your donations. We are only able to pick up donations of 1,000 pounds or more. For reference, that’s about 1,000 cans! Pickup requests, while not guaranteed, must be made at least one week prior to the desired pickup date by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Talk to friends and coworkers who have large vehicles, or consider making multiple drop-offs throughout your food drive. (Our planned closings and holidays are at the bottom of this page.) If you have more than one car load, please let us know you’re coming by emailing email@example.com. During our busiest time of year, we are thankful for all you can do to help us keep our trucks on their regular schedules.
After Your Food Drive:
Where will you bring your donations?
Each of the 6 branches of the Food Bank are open Monday-Friday to receive food and fund donations. Each Branch’s hours and address can be found here.
How will you know how many meals you were able to provide?
When you drop off your food and fund donations, we will have staff and volunteers on hand to help you unload, weigh the food, calculate any funds donated, and provide you with a total meal count and a receipt. We’re happy to take photos too!
Lastly, before, during and after your drive, tag us in your social media posts! You can find us at @FoodBankCENC and use the hashtag #NoOneGoesHungry – we want to see your amazing efforts and celebrate with you!
