COVID-19

COVID-19 Update for Benefits:

  • Supplemental benefits for COVID-19 will continue for June and July. Benefits will be randomly distributed every other business day. While there is no way to determine you supplemental benefit date, it will be during those time frames. Households already receiving the maximum benefit amount will not receive a supplemental benefit.
    • July supplement: beginning on July 22.
    • August supplement: beginning on August 22
  • Through August 31st, all FNS cases will be automatically renewed. Households are not required to complete any paperwork to receive an extension of their benefits.
  • Work requirements suspended for Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) during this pandemic, so folks previously denied for not working 20 hours/week could now be eligible

FNS Interview Process

Phone interviews are required for all phone and online applications. Households with less than $150 per month in income may be eligible for expedited benefits. The processing time for expedited benefits is seven calendar days. All other cases may take up to 25 calendar days to process.
