The Food Bank has done wonders to not only feed our neighbors in need, but proactively fight food waste. By Chef Tessa Nguyen, RD, LDN
Since 1998, the Food Bank's Fresh Produce Program has provided fresh local produce to neighbors in need while helping farmers recoup costs from food that is edible but not sellable.
Every day is different. I have enjoyed all my shifts at the Food Bank CENC, but I have really enjoyed the relationships that I have formed with the other volunteers and employees.
Jacqueline uses our Mobile Kitchen Kits to teach children all about healthy foods and how to prepare them. Even the vegetable lesson was a hit!
